A common occurance when a child crosses a stream, is the use of stepping stones. ...
What one observes most, is the fact that the stones are used for a brief moment of time, and not remained on for more than absolutely neccessary to proceed to the next stone...and make progress across to the other side.
AS WE CONSIDER THIS TEXT..... we see that the practical example desribed above shows us how ...BY HIS GRACE ALONE...THE LORD Takes us onward [ and upward] from one degree of Glory to another.
WHY ?....HOW ...?
Once we are Born Again of The Holy Spirit...we must accept that... life incurs growth...
AND THE LORD LOVES US TOO MUCH TO ALLOW US TO STAY AS WE ARE ...IN ONE ...PLACE...FOR TOO LONG !!!
of course we will inevitably encounter slips and falls....but The Lord will save us as we reach out to HIM...
