Word for the Month MAY 2019

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, Intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledgs of the truth." [nkjv]

Our duty as Christians is to pray for those that God has put in authority, so that we can continue to proclaim the Gospel to a lost and dying world. We are to ...'rejoice with those who rejoice'...and it is most fitting that we give thanks [here in the U.K.] for the 67 years reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd. ...longer than the reign of Queen Victoria !...

It was said, during her reign, that.. 'the sun never set on her Empire', because there was a global network of colonialised countries which circumnavigated the world !!!...

During the reign of our present Monarch, however, there has been a significant reduction in the number of lands and countries subservient to the Crown. For numerous reasons, some good, some debateable, many peoples have gained their Independance from alliegance to the Crown, [e.g. India, Hong Kong, along with several African nations]...

Without being oversimplistic, we can see a point in history when the ascendancy of Great Britain began to decline....

In May of 1948 The Nation of modern Israel was officially recognised by the United Nations....this was in direct fulfillment of Biblical prophesy where The Lord tells Israel...'and gather you again from all the nations where The Lord your God has scattered you'.[Deut.30:3...Jeremiah 29:14] Many other scriptures testify to the fact that God's plans for His people were to be fulfilled ...and a great landmark was accomplished in 1948. By all verifiable accounts the British decided to oppose the move of ALMIGHTY GOD !!!...and from that point,  a downward spiral began in the world-prominence of the U.K......

We thank The Lord for His Mercies ...which are 'new every morning' [ Lam 3:23ff] ...He promises to restore us if we repent and seek  after HIM...[2Chonicles 7:14].[Jeremiah 18:8]

[Isaiah 66:8...Jeremiah 10:7]]

A famous cricketer, and a man of God...C.T.Studd said...

'A man is no fool if he gives up what he cannot keep...to gain what he cannot lose.' !!!

MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU.
