The Hymn "Trust and Obey"..helps us to realise that It is first and foremost our faith in Christ which matters above all else.
When we finally acknowledge that our Salvation is totally dependant on the Finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and His subsequent Resurrection
we see that it was He Who started our Christian Faith, through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit, ...prompting our repentance...
and it is He who will bring it to completion,
BY HIS GRACE ALONE.
When the old Preacher was asked..."are you saved ? "....he repled..." I was saved...im being saved...and i will be saved ".[ conversion...sanctification...glorification ]
LET US NEVER FORGET THAT ... R E L I G I O N IS EVERYWHERE [ EVEN IN THE CHURCH OF 21ST CENTURY] AND NOWHERE !!!
It is time for the Church to let go of any system of works ...and embrace the saving faith as exemplified by that thief on the cross next to Our Lord Jesus Christ
who was not baptised, enrolled, confirmed, approved, accepted, endorsed,.... by any Church......!!!!!
